A horrific case came to light in Baraut village of Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat where a young man brutally murdered his mother with a sickle because she had scolded him. The accused later buried the corpse in a field of sugarcane to cover up the crime. The case came to the fore when his older brother found something suspicious and informed the police, which eventually resulted in the horrific discovery.
The gruesome murder was carried out in Baroli village. Amit, the older brother of suspect Sumit, has said that Sumit stayed with their parents, Ishwar and Savitri, and Amit stayed alone. Amit went to see his mother on Tuesday but could not find her at home. His father was at work, and Sumit was home alone. When Amit went into the house, he saw a blood-stained blanket, and he suspected something. He went straight to the police.
The police arrested Sumit for questioning, where he confessed to having murdered his mother after a fight. Sumit informed the police that he was intoxicated when he murdered his mother. He carried his mother's body on his shoulder and dropped her in Jasbir's sugarcane field and buried her with the help of a spade.
Villagers revealed that Sumit was arrested six months ago for carrying an illicit weapon and was recently let out on bail. He is also accused of murdering his elder brother. His violent nature had already turned him into a terror among villagers. The Aftermath and Shock among the Community The public is shocked to hear of this gruesome crime. The fact that Sumit had not gone out after he buried his mother to evade suspicion left everyone stunned. The police are yet to investigate this extremely disturbing case.
