Social media star, gangster’s wife, lady don! Zoya Khan arrested with drugs worth in crores

Delhi Police’s Special Cell has arrested Zoya Khan, the third wife of notorious gangster Hashim Baba, from the Welcome area on Wednesday. She was caught with 270 grams of heroin, valued at ₹1 crore. Investigations revealed that Zoya was not only involved in drug trafficking but was also managing the gang’s operations on Baba’s behalf while he remained behind bars.

Zoya Khan’s role in criminal network

A senior Special Cell officer confirmed that Zoya was actively involved in drug trafficking to fund the gang’s activities. Acting on a tip-off, police learned that she was set to deliver a drug consignment in the Welcome area. Upon interception, she was arrested with the contraband.

Investigators further disclosed that Zoya had in-depth knowledge of Hashim Baba’s network and was issuing commands to gang members under his instructions. The probe also indicated that she was smuggling heroin from Muzaffarnagar and had been deeply engaged in the drug trade for a long time. The police are now working to trace the larger supply chain linked to this operation.

Connections to high-profile murders

Authorities revealed that Zoya Khan’s involvement extends beyond drug trafficking. On December 9 last year, businessman Sunil Jain was murdered in the Farsh Bazar area. It was later discovered that Hashim Baba had orchestrated the killing, though the attackers had mistakenly targeted the wrong Sunil Jain. The investigation also uncovered links between Baba’s gang and Sub-Inspector Sukhbir Singh, who was posted in North-East Delhi.

Sukhbir Singh allegedly provided financial aid and shelter to Jain’s killers. Following his arrest, further interrogations led the police to Zoya Khan’s central role in gang operations. It was also discovered that she had harbored criminals involved in the murder of a gym owner in Greater Kailash.

Ongoing investigation

With Zoya Khan now in custody, the police are intensifying their probe into the gang’s drug network and criminal connections. More arrests are expected as authorities work to dismantle Hashim Baba’s criminal empire.
