West Bengal: A ruinous accident marred Holi fests as a high- speed auto lost control and crashed into multiple totors(auto rickshaw), leaving six dead, including a child and two women. Ten others sustained severe injuries in the terrible collision, which took place at Laxmigachha vill under Chapra police station on the Krishnanagar- Karimpur state trace.
According to original reports, a group of residers from Nakashipara had traveled to Chapra in three totors for Eid shopping. As they were returning home, a speeding auto approached from the contrary direction, changed the directions out course, and violently crashed into one of the totors(auto rickshaw). The impact was so severe that passengers were thrown onto the road, with some being crushed under the auto.
In a hopeless attempt to flee, the motorist also got rammed into the remaining two totors (auto rickshaw), causing farther chaos and injuries. substantiations purport that the motorist was intoxicated at the time of the crash. Exigency askers rushed the victims to Shaktinagar District Hospital, where three individualities, including a child, were declared dead on appearance.
Three further latterly succumbed to their injuries during treatment, while others continue to battle for their lives. The horrible incident has sparked outrage among locals, who are demanding strict action against reckless driving and contended drunk driving. Authorities are probing the crash, and legal action is anticipated against the motorist.
