Sick woman forced to reach hospital on cart due to absence of ambulance, VIDEO surfaces

New Delhi: In a tragic incident which occurred in Uttar Pradesh's Sonbhadra district, a sick woman faced a critical situation when she couldn't secure an ambulance to reach the hospital. Instead, her family members took her to the hospital by a cart. 

Video surfaces on the internet

A user named Zameer Ahmad posted a video on X with a caption in Hindi.  "UP: In Sonbhadra district, a sick woman could not get an ambulance to go to the hospital. The woman's family members took her to the hospital on a cart. The video of the woman reaching the hospital on a cart is now going viral on social media." 


Details of the incident 

Soni Devi, 40 years old from Khajuri village in the Dudhi development block went outside of her house to collect wood on Saturday. During this, a snake bit her on the finger of her left hand. Her condition worsened quickly and she became unconscious. Initially, the family thought of using traditional healing methods, but then her nephew Rishi called the 108 ambulance service. He was told to wait, but when the ambulance did not arrive after half an hour, they took her to the hospital on a cart. At the hospital, Dr Vinod Singh treated her in the emergency room.

According to reports, Many locals have raised concerns about the non-availability of ambulances even during critical emergencies, highlighting ongoing challenges in accessing timely medical assistance. Despite Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak issuing numerous instructions to improve healthcare services, officials have shown indifference.
