A fresh encounter broke out between Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district in the wee hours of Tuesday, killing two terrorists, said the police.
According to the Kashmir Zone Police, the LeT terrorists have been identified as Morifat Maqbool and Kazim Farooq alias Abrar.
Taking it to X (formerly known as Twitter), ADGP Kashmir said, “Killed #terrorists have been identified as Morifat Maqbool & Jazim Farooq @ Abrar of #terror outfit LeT. #Terrorist Abrar was involved in the killing of Kashmiri Pandit late Sanjay Sharma.”

The encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Alshipora area of Shopian in the early hours of Tuesday, said the officials.

The encounter started while security forces were conducting an anti-terrorist operation after the police received information about the presence of terrorists in the area, the officials added.
