In a shocking incident of sexual violence reported from Jharkhand, a Spanish woman was allegedly gang-raped on Friday night. The incident took place in the Kururmahat area under Hansdiha police police. Around 12 oclock in the night, she pitched a tent and slept in a deserted place ahead of Hansidha market. While the woman was sleeping, some youths from nearby area barged inside the tent and raped her in turns. Besides sexually assaulting her, the accused also beat her up. Investigation is going on However, due to seriousness of the matter, Dumka SP Pitambar Singh Kherwar has declined to share further details into the case. Police have detained three people in the case and further investigation into the incident is going on. BJP demands strict actionJharkhand BJP president Babulal Marandi criticised this shocking incident and said, If these kinds of incidents will happen with foreign tourists, then who will come to Jharkhand and alleged that the gangrape of the Spanish tourist was the result of caste-based postings.
