A teenage girl from the Nagar Kotwali area has been forced to abandon her studies due to persistent obscene comments and molestation by a group of men.Harassment on way to school leads to fearThe teenager alleges that a man named Azhar, along with his friends, would harass her verbally and physically while she was on her way to school. These acts were so distressing that they brought her to tears and ultimately made her feel unsafe.Threats and obscene messages escalate the situationThe situation worsened when the accused not only harassed the girl in person but also started taking photos and videos of her. Their threats of throwing acid on her further fueled her fear.School abandoned due to traumaUnable to cope with the constant fear and harassment, the girl, a student of class 11, was forced to stop attending school. However, the ordeal continued even after she stayed home. The accused allegedly sent her obscene messages and videos on her mobile phone.Kidnap attempt and mother assaultedThe incident reached a terrifying peak when the accused and his friends reportedly attempted to kidnap the girl from her home. When the girls mother intervened to protect her daughter, she was allegedly assaulted by the accused.Police take action after formal complaintFollowing the traumatic ordeal, the girls mother filed a formal complaint with the Kotwali police station. The police have registered a case against four named accused, including Azhar and his brother-in-law Mudassir, and have begun their investigation.
