A sensational case has shaken everyone in which a doctor killed his own 15-day-old newborn baby girl in a desire to replace her with a boy. The incident is of Gadaura Majhaura village of Jeyanpur Kotwali area from Azamgarh in UP. Dr Manoj Kumar is an eye specialist who was working on a contract in Pawai CHC. He already had two daughters and his wife Renu was pregnant. Sangeeta, posted in ANM in Pawai CHC had advised the doctor to consult Tantrik so that he could have a son. What was the matter In an attempt to extort money from the doctor, Sangeeta and her sister along with her tantrik lover Suraj Kumar hatched a conspiracy and the doctor fell into their trap. On May 17, the doctors wife gave birth to a daughter. Disappointed by this the doctor approached the tantrik who said that the girl could be killed to transform her into a son. Agreeing with Tantriks advice, the doctor killed his 15-day-old newborn daughter at his government residence in Pawal on May 30. Buried the body, hid it for daysThe doctor buried the dead body of the child at Deh Babas place and the tantrik Suraj kept pretending that he would turn the dead body of the girl into a boy. In an attempt to prove that he possessed magical powers, he even stole a nine-month-old baby from Chandpur Patvadh village and gave it to the doctors wife Renu but she refused to accept the kid when she saw that he was older than what she expected. Following this, the Tantrik again stole a kid from the District Womens Hospital on June 3 and claimed that the girl had come alive. Police action initiated The police came to know about this murderous case while they were investigating the matter on a complaint by the maternal uncle of the stolen child. They arrested Saroj and initiated further investigation and later all pieces of the puzzle were put together to crack the case. Later police arrested all three accused in connection to the matter.
