A man was shot dead in broad daylight outside a mall at Sector 67 in Punjab's Mohali on Monday afternoon. 
The victim is identified as Rajesh Dogra,  resident of Jammu and Kashmir, Rajesh Dogra. According to police, at least 19 bullets were fired at him by unidentified assaiants. 

Know what happened exactly

Punjab Police said that Rajesh Dogra had come to visit the mall with his two friends. The unidentified assailants, who came in two vehicles including a Scorpio, opened heavy fire at him. Both the friends of the deceased have fled from the spot. 

According to sources, the accused were finding right time, and as soon as he came out of the mall, firing was done at Rajesh Dogra. According to the police, four-five attackers opened fire with 32 bore and 45 bore pistols. According to information, they fired around 17-18 rounds on him. 

Investigation is still on

Police are investigating on the spot. Police have also recovered bullet shells near the dead body. The body was found on the road. The people present at the spot are being interrogated. 

Police are collecting CCTV footages

District SSP Dr. Sandeep Garg and IG Ropar Range have also reached the spot and information about the incident is being obtained. Police are also collecting footage from CCTV cameras of the mall and surrounding areas to find out about accused.

However, it is noteworthy that various cases are registered against Rajesh Dogra in different police stations of Jammu. Along with this, Public Safety Act has also been imposed against him. 7 criminal cases have been registered against the accused at police stations Pakka Danga, Jammu City, Udhampur, Gangyal, Bahu Fort and Gharota. He was also involved in various criminal cases like attempt to murder, possession of illegal weapons etc. The accused was also a history-sheeter of Bakshi Nagar police station. PSA has been imposed by Bakshi Nagar police station.
