In a harrowing incident that has rocked Karempudi village in Andhra Pradesh, a man is accused of poisoning his 18-month-old daughter to death due to her dark complexion. The accused, identified as Mahesh from Petasannegandla village, allegedly administered poisoned prasadam to his daughter Akshaya.

False claims amid grief

Following the tragic event, Mahesh reportedly pressured his wife, Shravani, to falsely claim that their baby died due to seizures. Shravani, hailing from Bommarajupalle village, had married Mahesh three years ago, and the couple was blessed with a baby girl.

A mother's torment

Shravani bravely disclosed the torment she faced, alleging torture from her husband and in-laws due to their daughter's dark skin tone. Despite her suffering, she strived to protect her child.

Heart-wrenching discovery

On March 31, Shravani made a horrifying discovery - her unconscious daughter with a bleeding nose. Rushing the baby to Karempudi government hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.

Mahesh's attempts to bury the truth quickly were thwarted when Shravani's mother grew suspicious and sought intervention from local authorities. The subsequent police investigation uncovered a history of abuse and attempts on the child's life.

Call for justice

The Andhra Pradesh State Child Rights Protection Commission has launched a thorough investigation into the tragic death, determined to bring justice to the innocent victim. The case is under scrutiny by dedicated law enforcement officers, aiming to unravel the full extent of this distressing ordeal.
