UP News: A bizarre incident has surfaced from Minwa village in the Sahjanwan police station area of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. A young married woman, whose husband works in Bangalore, was reportedly involved in a clandestine affair with a man from her maternal village. Their secret came to light when the lover made a critical mistake during their planned escape.
The couple, married just six months ago, seemed to be leading a happy life. The husband, a resident of Minwa, left for Bangalore shortly after their wedding to earn a living. However, while he was away, his wife rekindled her old relationship with a young man from her hometown. She often invited her lover home, raising suspicions among neighbors and her in-laws.
On a fateful Sunday night, the woman called her lover to her home, and the two planned their elopement. They packed their belongings and fled together. However, in their haste, the lover accidentally left his mobile phone in the woman’s room. The in-laws discovered the phone and were shocked to find incriminating messages and photos, confirming the illicit affair.
When the husband was informed of the betrayal, he returned to Gorakhpur immediately. Heartbroken, he filed a police complaint against his wife and her lover. “If my wife didn’t love me, she should have married her lover instead of ruining my life,” the distraught husband said. “I went to another state to support my family, and this is what she did behind my back.”
The woman’s parents, taken aback by the revelations, stated that they were unaware of their daughter’s affair. They emphasized that the marriage was arranged only after the woman had consented. Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation and are actively searching for the runaway couple. This scandal has become a hot topic of discussion in the local area, with many questioning the choices made by the young woman and her lover.
