Shiv Sena Leader Gunned Down in Moga While Buying Milk, Minor Injured in Attack

Shiv Sena Leader Gunned Down: A Shiv Sena leader has been murdered in Moga, Punjab. Shiv Sena leader Mangat Rai Manga was shot on Thursday night. The attackers fled after abusing Mangat Rai Manga. A minor was also injured in this incident. Police is investigating the case.

Shiv Sena district president shot dead in Moga
A district president of a Shiv Sena group was shot dead in Punjab's Moga while a minor was injured in the attack. According to a PTI video, the incident occurred on Thursday night when Mangat Rai Manga, president of the outfit's district unit, was buying milk. Police said three unidentified men opened fire at him around 10 pm but the bullet hit a 12-year-old boy instead of Manga. Manga immediately fled the scene on a two-wheeler but the assailants chased him, they said.

The attacker fled from Moga
Police said that while chasing, the attackers fired at Manga again and this time the bullet hit Manga after which the attackers fled from the spot. A police officer said that the police took Manga to the hospital where doctors declared him dead. He said that the injured teenager was first admitted to the government hospital in Moga and later referred to another hospital.

Police said they were confirming which Shiv Sena outfit Manga was associated with. "We came to know that some miscreants had shot Manga dead.  Manga's daughter told PTI-Video that her father had left home to get milk at around 8 pm on Thursday. "At 11 pm someone told us that my father has been shot dead. We want justice and will do whatever it takes to get it," she said.
