In the Guna district of Madhya Pradesh, a woman was tied up and subjected to severe abuse and torture by a man. The police claimed that the two had been dating for a while. The accused, who lived next door to the woman, allegedly had his eyes set on her property, which was registered in her mother's name. The accused beat the woman and put chili pepper in her mouth, eyes, and wounds. He used adhesive to seal her mouth when she refused to hand over the property.
Brought to hospital
One night, after severe torture, she somehow managed to escape and reach the arrest police station, which was 5km from her home in the morning. The victim is still receiving medical care at the district hospital, where she was brought in severe condition. It is said that because of the cruel treatment she received, her condition is severe. Their ancestral home was registered in her mother's name, as their father had passed away.
Investigations going on
The culprit was identified by the victim as her neighbor. His goal was to register the victim's ancestral land in his name. He had his sights set on that property. The victim was physically assaulted when she resisted. Based on the victim's statements, the accused was taken into custody by the police, and investigations were started in response to the victim's testimony. He was booked on charges of rape and voluntarily causing injury.
Speaking to India Today TV, ASP Maan Singh Thakur said that the event happened on Tuesday. The relationship between the accused and the victim, which lasted for the previous two years, just lately turned sour.
