Delhi Police on Thursday reached the Rouse Avenue Court to file the chargesheet in FIRs registered by several wrestlers against former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

During his last meeting with the protesting wrestlers, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur assured them that the chargesheet in the case would be filed by June 15. Notably, wrestlers have accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment. The Internal Complaint Committee of the Wrestling Federation will be established, and a woman will serve as its chair, the Union Minister assured them.

In a big development in the wrestlers’ protest case, it is anticipated the Delhi Police is anticipated to submit a roughly 1,500-page chargesheet regarding at least five complaints of sexual harassment and assault against the BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

According to the statement by the Delhi Police, “In the FIR registered by the wrestlers, after completion of the investigation, we are filing a chargesheet for the offences under sections 354, 354A, 354D IPC against accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and for offences under sections109/ 354/354A/506 IPC against accused Vinod Tomar before the concerned Hon’ble Court.”
