A shocking incident had come to light from Uttarakhand’s Dehradun, where Deeksha Paul, a 35-year-old resident of Nawada was preparing for a weekly prayer meeting on Sunday morning when a group of Hindutva activists forcefully entered her house. They assaulted seven people, including women, vandalized property, and made derogatory remarks about the Christian religion, accusing them of engaging in religious conversion.

According to media sources, Deeksha Paul identified Devendra Dobhal as the leader of the group who attacked them, claiming he is a former army man and RSS member.

The video of the incident circulated on social media shows a group of people vandalizing a cross podium and instruments in the room.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against 11 individuals. The accused include Devendra Dobhal, Bijendra Thapa, Sadhir Thapa, Sanjeev Paul, Sudhir Paul, Dhirendra Dhobal, Arman Dhobal, Aryaman Dhobal, Anil Hindu, Bhupesh Joshi, and Bijendra Singh. However, no arrest has been made so far.

Satbir Singh, the investigating officer at Nehru Colony Police Station, stated, "There was no religious conversion activity occurring at the house. Members of Hindutva groups misbehaved with the family and vandalized their property."

This is not the first incident; another similar incident was reported from Maharashtra’s Kolhapur where mobs on Sunday climbed on the top of a mosque and planted a saffron flag and started destroying the mosque. Reportedly this happened when a rally against the illegal encroachment turned violent.
