Seven brokers, girls available for Rs 4000: Inside Jharkhand's 'adult business'

On Monday, hotel manager Mithun Gorai and owner Harmeet Singh, also known as Prince, along with nine other ladies, were arrested by Ranchi's Chutia police for their involvement in a sex racket. Important information was obtained by the police when questioning the accused. It has come to light that Harmeet Singh, also known as Prince, the owner of the hotel, is operating the prostitution industry with the help of brokers.

According to SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha, phony names and addresses were used to keep sex workers in hotels. The hotel hired brokers to bring in guests. The proprietor of the hotel used to send them to the girls' rooms after this. The customer and hotel owner conducted financial transactions via the internet.

West Bengali girls make up the majority of those who ask for Rs. 4000. According to SSP, the hotel owner paid the sex worker the remaining Rs. 4,000 after keeping half for himself. The police are currently looking for additional participants in this enterprise. They will soon be taken to prison as well. 

Crime in pursuit 

Eighteen people, including sex workers, hotel owners, managers, and brokers, are the subject of a formal complaint that was filed at the Chutia police station over the girls' photos. Sahil, Raj, Wasik, Kumar, Suraj Rana, Samar Singh, and Sujit have also been listed in the police report. The seven brokers listed, according to the police, used to hunt for clients.
