The ambitious “School of Eminence” project, with an allocation of Rs 200 crore, promises to enhance the quality of education in government schools and equip students with the tools necessary for future success.A Vision for Transforming Government SchoolsThe primary goal of the School of Eminence initiative is to uplift government schools in Punjab and ensure the holistic development of students. With the focus on classes 9 to 12, this project upgraded 118 schools across 23 districts. Students will receive personalized guidance to help them navigate their future career paths, ensuring they are well-equipped to tackle the challenges of competitive exams. This approach aims to bridge the gap between education and career opportunities, providing students with the resources they need to succeed in professional fields.Aiming for ExcellenceDescribing the launch as a transformative milestone, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, These schools are being established keeping in mind the aspirations of freedom fighters, and we aim to make Punjab a model state in education. He expressed confidence that, in the near future, government schools will surpass private schools in quality, providing students with the best education possible.The Chief Minister also praised teachers as “builders of the nation” and stressed their pivotal role in bringing about meaningful change in the education sector. To empower educators, the Punjab government has taken proactive steps, including sending 36 teachers to Singapore for training.
