Priyanka Tibrewal, a BJP politician and attorney, informed the Calcutta High Court on Thursday that the women in Sandeshkhali were being coerced into withdrawing the rape complaints they had filed.  According to her, Sandeshkhali is once again experiencing "horrific sights," and ladies are not resting at night because police are breaking into their homes at night. Instead of residing in their homes, she said, women were hiding in the fields.

More on the victim and case in hand

In addition, Tibrewal stated that the rape victim was thrown into the pond on Wednesday with one of her hands tied. "Milords, the truth is she (Tibrewal) is generating all sorts of issues in Sandeshkhali," a government advocate stated in response to her. Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam's bench declined to give Tibrewal an urgent hearing. Tibrewal was instructed by the chief justice to communicate her concerns to the investigation team rather than the court.

"We are not investigating agencies," the CJ stated. The CBI is investigating the incident; kindly submit all of this to them rather than to us. Apologies. In a video that Tibrewal uploaded to X on Wednesday, he said that TMC goons were threatening people in an attempt to disprove Shahjahan, the primary accused in the case.

Sandeshkhali and atrocities

"Today I went to Sandeshkhali, where TMC goons are scaring the people to prove Sk. Shahjahan is innocent," the woman wrote with the video. Anwesha Mondal, a woman, informed me about the horrors committed by Dilip Mallick, a man who kidnapped a woman a few days ago. In response to this allegation, TMC goons kidnapped the woman this evening, tied her up, and left her to perish by the side of a pond.
