The countdown for Chandrayaan-3, India’s third lunar exploration mission has already begun on Thursday at 14:35:17 IST ahead of its scheduled take-off on Friday from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. After the success, India will be the fourth country to land its spacecraft on the surface of the moon.

To wish the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) well with its most recent space mission, the third moon lander, Chandrayaan-3, which is scheduled to launch from Sriharikota later on Friday, world-renowned Odiya sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has released his most recent artwork.

On Thursday, Pattnaik installed 500 steel bowls and dishes with the slogan “Vijayee Bhava” (Be Victorious) at Puri Beach in Odisha as part of his 22-foot-long Chandrayaan-3 sand sculpture.

According to the details, the spacecraft will be launched on LVM 3, a heavy-lift launch vehicle, which is also known as GSLV Mark 3. This will be the next mission after Chandrayaan-2, which got failed after running into unforeseen challenges during its soft landing in 2019.
