Maharashtra News: In the wake of the recent murder of politician Baba Siddique and ongoing threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, security at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Bandra has been significantly ramped up. A strong police presence now surrounds the actor’s home to prevent any potential danger. Over 60 plain-clothed officers patrol the area 24/7, monitoring for suspicious activities under a standard operating procedure.
Mumbai Police have installed AI-enabled CCTV cameras equipped with facial recognition technology around Galaxy Apartments. These cameras can identify individuals who pass multiple times, alerting authorities to potential reconnaissance. A dedicated command center oversees the footage, ensuring round-the-clock surveillance.
In addition to the plainclothed officers, 60 uniformed policemen, including female officers, are stationed outside Salman Khan’s residence, with checkpoints established to screen visitors. Every individual entering the building undergoes thorough screening, and no unauthorized gatherings are allowed near the premises. Salman’s Y-plus security detail, which includes armed policemen, travels with him, coordinating with local police stations to ensure his safety.
While the heightened security is essential for Salman’s safety, it has caused frustration among neighboring residents and businesses. Some have expressed displeasure over frequent checks and frisking of their guests. Despite the inconvenience, Salman Khan reportedly has no plans to leave his long-time residence in Bandra for his farmhouse in Panvel, where security has also been increased.
