An alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has issued a chilling threat to actor Salman Khan, demanding Rs 5 crore to resolve the long-standing enmity with the gangster. The message warned that if the Bollywood star failed to comply, his fate would be worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui, who was recently murdered.

The threatening message read: "If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and settle his dispute with Lawrence Bishnoi, he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. Do not take this lightly, or Salman Khan's condition will be worse than Baba Siddiqui."

Mumbai police begin investigation

Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the threat. The actor has been under increased security following several such warnings from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang over the past few months. Baba Siddiqui, a close friend of Salman Khan, was gunned down on October 12 outside his son Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office in Bandra. The police have already arrested four suspects in connection with the murder.

Background of the feud

The conflict stems from the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, in which Salman Khan allegedly hunted the sacred animal. Although the case is still ongoing in court, Lawrence Bishnoi, whose community worships the blackbuck, has vowed revenge against the actor. The threat to Salman follows the killing of Baba Siddiqui and a previous attack on the actor's residence in April 2024, when gunmen fired five rounds outside his Bandra home.

Police are closely monitoring the situation and continuing their investigation into the latest threats against the actor.
