Saif Ali Khan's Hospitalization

Saif Ali Khan was hospitalized after a shocking incident where he was stabbed six times while confronting an intruder. This attack occurred in the room of their four-year-old son, Jeh, where the burglar also assaulted the nanny. The actor suffered serious injuries from a 2.5-inch blade that was removed from his back, which caused damage near the thoracic spine. Medical professionals performed a six-hour surgery to treat these injuries.

Now stable, Saif is expected to recover fully with adequate rest. He has received immense support from his family during this challenging time. Kareena Kapoor released an official statement expressing the emotional toll of the incident on their family. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage.

While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family.” She concluded her message by thanking everyone for their understanding during this sensitive period.

Legal Action Against the Perpetrator

The burglar responsible for this attack is currently in police custody after being apprehended in Thane three days post-incident. Authorities have identified him as Shariful Islam Shehzad, also known as Bijoy Das, a Bangladeshi national.
