In a shocking turn of events, Prakash Kapde, a security guard entrusted with safeguarding cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar's residence, tragically took his own life. The 39-year-old Maharashtra State Police Force (SRPF) jawan ended his life by shooting himself in the neck with his service gun. Prakash, who had traveled to Jamnagar to celebrate a holiday, succumbed to the unimaginable on Wednesday morning.

Heartbreaking loss

Prakash's untimely demise has left behind a grieving family, including his elderly parents, wife, two young children, a brother, and other relatives. The tragic incident occurred at around 1:30 AM at the victim's residence in Jamner town, according to Senior Police Inspector Kiran Shinde of Jamner Police Station.

Possible reason behind his tragic death 

While the preliminary findings point to personal issues as a potential cause, authorities remain cautious, awaiting further details from the ongoing investigation. Sources reveal that the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) plans to conduct an independent inquiry into the matter, given the involvement of a jawan responsible for VVIP security.
