Sabke Ram: Ram Lalla's idol to be taken to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya today

There will be Jalayatra, Teertha Puja, Brahmin-Batuk-Kumari-Suvasini Puja, Vardhini Puja, Kalshayatra and procession of the idol of Lord Shri Ram Lalla

With just few days left the grand ceremony of the Ram Mandir, the idol of Lord Ram Lalla will be brought inside the temple for the first time on Wednesday, marking the second day of the week-long Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

The preparations to take the idol of Ram Lalla into the temple complex are on since last night. The idol which weighs around 150-200 kgs has been carved in black stone by Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj, which will do ‘Parisar Pravesh’ or ‘entry’ today. 

Devotees will also carry water from the holy Saryu River in pots or "kalash" to the temple.

While concluding the rituals for the Day 1, Vedic scholar Acharya Shri Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid informed about the rituals that will take place on January 17, after 1:20 pm. There will be Jalayatra, Teertha Puja, Brahmin-Batuk-Kumari-Suvasini Puja, Vardhini Puja, Kalshayatra and tour of the idol of Lord Shri Ram Lalla in the premises.

Here’s the list of when the rituals will take place

January 17: Entry of the statue into the premises.
January 18 (evening): Pilgrimage worship, Jal Yatra, Jaladhivas and Gandhadhivas.
January 19 (morning): Aushadhivas, Kesaradhivas, Ghritadhivas.
January 19 (evening): Dhanyadhivas
January 20 (Morning): Shakradhivas, Fruitdhivas
January 20 (evening): Pushpadhivas
January 21 (morning): Mid-day
January 21 (evening): Bedtime 
January 22: Pran Pratishtha

The ritual will culminate in the grand ceremony of the Pran Pratishtha on January 22, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries.
