Union minister Jitendra Singh said on Thursday announced that all central government offices will be closed for half day on January 22. According to the information, the decision has been taken keeping the overwhelming sentiments of people in mind.
According to the order issued, the offices will be closed till 2:30 PM.
The order issued by the concerned department says, "The Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on 22nd January 2024 across India. To enable employees to participate in the celebrations, it has been decided that all central government offices, central institutions and central industrial establishments throughout India will be closed for half day till 1430 hours on 22nd January 2024."

Meanwhile, the Bar Council of India on Wednesday wrote a letter to Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud requesting him to grant a holiday on January 22.
It is to be noted here that the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ayodhya's Ram Mandir will take place on January 22 at 12:20 PM. The idol of Lord Ram depicting a five-year-old Ram Lalla arrived in the wee hours of the temple complex Wednesday and has been kept inside the sanctum sanctorum but not installed yet.
According to the rituals, on third day of the rituals, the idol is supposed to be cleansed with water as part of the 'Jaladhivas' ritual and 'Ganesh Pujan' and 'Varun Pujan' are held.
