Sabke Ram: 7-day rituals for Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya's Ram Mandir

The calm banks of the Saryu River will be visited by devotees for rituals leading up to the consecration ceremony, start on January 16. Find how each day will be used to prepare for the big day.

As the final-stage preparations are coming along for the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a mega-consecration ceremony will be held on January 22. Leading up to this ceremony, smaller rituals will take place.   

Day 1: Dashvidh bath ritual
On January 16, the Dashvidh bath ritual will be held on the Saryu river banks. Lord Vishnu and Godan will be worshipped in this ritual. The Temple Trust will be appointing the priest.  

Day 2: Ram Lala idol 
The idol of Ram Lala will reach Ayodhya on January 17 with a procession. At the same time, devotees will reach the temple carrying a Mangal Kalash or pot containing holy water from Saryu bank. 

Day 3: Puja rituals
Formal rituals will commence On January 18 with Ganesh Varun Puja, Ambika Puja Matrika Puja, Vastu Puja, and Brahmin Varan.

Day 4: Havan 
On January 19, Agni Sthapana, Navagraha Sthapana, and a havan will be performed to invite positive energy into the premises.

Day 5: Cleansing with holy water 
The sanctum sanctorum of the temple will be cleaned with the holy water of Saryu on January 20. Rituals concerning Vaastu Shanti and Annadhivas will be performed.

Day 6: Shayadhivas ritual
125 urns will be used to wash the diety on January 21. The same day the Shayadhivas ritual will also be performed.

Day 7: Rama Lalla consecrates
On the afternoon of January 22, the deity of the Rama Lalla will be consecrated in Mrigashira Nakshatra.

The much-awaited inauguration of the Ram Mandir is to take place on January 22. The ceremonies will start taking place from January 16. This is an auspicious and exciting occasion for all devotees.
