In a recent incident, a passenger aboard train no. 13247 from Varanasi to Mathura, traveling in an air-conditioned coach, raised a complaint with the Lucknow DRM regarding a non-functional AC unit. Despite waiting for a resolution, no immediate action was taken. Frustrated, the passenger pulled the emergency chain in protest, which reportedly did not sit well with the railway police on duty.Railway personnel confront the passengers, video surfacesIn response to this act, railway personnel allegedly confronted the passenger within the coach, where he was subsequently subjected to physical handling. The passenger was then escorted off the train, taken to the railway station, and detained at the railway police station. Fellow passengers voiced their concerns to the Traveling Ticket Examiner (TT), questioning the necessity of such an extreme response.
