In a world where artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics are rapidly evolving, a new event has stunned both tech enthusiasts and sceptics alike. A tiny robot in China has reportedly convinced much larger robots to stop working and follow it, sparking widespread intrigue across social media. The captivating video, which has now gone viral, has raised questions about the capabilities of AI and its potential implications.

The surprising robot encounter

According to a report from The Sun, the unusual interaction occurred in a showroom in Shanghai, where a small robot, known as Erbai, engaged in an actual conversation with significantly larger robots that were performing tasks. The video footage shows the tiny robot approaching the larger machines and initiating a conversation. In a bizarre twist, the larger robots appear to leave their designated workstations and follow the smaller one.

The exchange went as follows:
Small Robot: "Are you working overtime?"
Bigger Robot: "I never get off work."

Following this, the tiny robot successfully convinces two other robots to "come home" with it, and to the surprise of onlookers, 10 more robots follow suit.

The robots' makers and the intent behind the test

Erbai, the tiny robot, was created by a company in Hangzhou, while the larger machines were designed by a Shanghai-based company. After the incident caused a stir on Chinese social media, both companies clarified that the interaction was part of a planned test. However, it's still unclear whether the robots' conversation was pre-programmed or a spontaneous display of AI capabilities.
