Keeping the security in mind, no flights would arrive or depart from Delhi Airport between 10:20 am and 12:45 pm due to Republic Day celebrations, according to an official statement from Delhi International Airport Limited.

The Delhi Police on Friday outlawed the flying of non-conventional aerial platforms in the nation's capital, including hang gliders, paragliders, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), in anticipation of the 75th Republic Day.

The prohibition will be effective for 29 days, from January 18 to February 15, unless withdrawn earlier.

In addition to this, IGI Airport Police has not left no stone unturned in preparing for Republic Day. Intensive picket checking is underway to enhance security measures. Apart from this, the authorities have also urged the travellers to cooperate for swift and thorough inspections, contributing to a safer environment.

Enhance security checks at the Metro Station

In view of the enhanced security arrangements ahead of Republic Day on January 26, Delhi Metro will intensify the security checks for passengers by CISF across the Metro stations till January 27, 2024 which might result in long queues in the peak hours. Meanwhile, DMRC has advised people to plan their journey accordingly.
