DMRC advised travelers to budget additional time for their commute over the next week.Airspace restrictions in DelhiMeanwhile, airspace restrictions will also be imposed in the capital from January 19 to 29, barring non-scheduled flights during certain periods.The curbs from January 19 to 25 will prohibit takeoffs and landings of unscheduled passenger flights and chartered planes from 10 am to 1:15 pm daily. Normal operations of scheduled flights wont be affected.Republic Day restrictions on flight operationOn Republic Day, no flights will operate from 6 am to 9 pm, as per the Airports Authority of Indias notice. Restrictions will stay in place daily from 6 am to 9 pm between January 26 to 29.The measures wont impact IAF, BSF, Army aviation helicopters, and state-owned aircraft with governors or chief ministers.Authorities are leaving nothing to chance this Republic Day after intelligence inputs indicated a heightened terror threat in the capital.
