New Delhi: In a chilling case of kidnapping and murder, Renukaswamy, a former BHEL official, was allegedly tortured and killed by Kannada superstar Darshan, his partner Pavithra Gowda, and 15 others. According to police sources, Renukaswamy sent obscene photos and derogatory messages to Pavithra Gowda, accusing her of ruining Darshan’s family life. The disturbing events were confirmed by evidence obtained from Instagram during the investigation.
Renukaswamy's phone was discarded into a canal after the murder, but police managed to recover his social media data through a duplicate SIM card. Investigations revealed that Renukaswamy, enraged by Pavithra Gowda’s relationship with Darshan, allegedly sent a lewd photo and derogatory messages, claiming superiority over the actor. Unable to bear the harassment, Pavithra sought help from Darshan’s associate, Pavan, without informing the actor initially.
Pavan, however, disclosed the situation to Darshan, who ordered Pavan to find and bring Renukaswamy to him. Posing as Pavithra, Pavan began communicating with Renukaswamy, eventually luring him to Bengaluru under the guise of offering an apology and a chance to meet Darshan. Renukaswamy was kidnapped by another accused, Raghavendra, and brought to a shed in Bengaluru, where Darshan, Pavithra, and the others awaited.
Once Renukaswamy was in their custody, the group subjected him to horrific torture. He was beaten, given electric shocks, and brutally assaulted. Despite pleading for his life, Renukaswamy endured hours of physical abuse, which ultimately led to his death. The group then planned to dispose of the body and fabricate a story of a financial dispute.
The police, however, uncovered the truth behind the brutal murder and are actively pursuing all the accused involved in this heinous crime.
