Tensions flared in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar on Friday, after a significant number of Muslims assembled outside the City Chowk police station. The protesters demanded immediate action against Ramgiri Maharaj, a Hindu religious leader, for allegedly making offensive comments about Prophet Mohammad.The crowd, composed of members from the Muslim community, voiced their concerns outside the police station. Jaleels letter criticized Maharajs comments made in Panchale village, Sinnar tehsil, Nashik. He alleged that Maharajs statements were intended to tarnish the image of the Muslim community and create communal discord.Jaleel further asserted that such remarks were strategically designed to incite riots between Hindus and Muslims. “This is done deliberately to foment communal riots. So strict action should be taken against him,” Jaleel stated. He also suggested that Maharajs statements might have been influenced by external political motives, aiming to disrupt communal harmony.
