Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday distributed appointment letters to over 71,000 recruits under the Rashtriya Rozgar Mela. The address and distribution of the letters were done through the virtual meeting hosted by PM Modi.

PM Modi during the event said that with the help of the scheme, startups have created more than 40 lakh direct or indirect jobs in the country. He stated that the government has distributed letters to over 70,000 recruits for joining the government departments in the country on the occasion of Baisakhi today. PM Modi further lauded the NDA and BJP-ruled states for the fast pace in giving jobs.

The PM said, “Startups have created more than 40 lakh direct and indirect jobs, this shows India’s resilient startup culture. Today India is the fastest-growing economy in the world. The policy and strategy being followed by today’s New India have opened up new possibilities and opportunities in the country.”

He further added that their government has distributed over 22 thousand appointment letters to teachers in Madhya Pradesh yesterday. Talking about the Defence system of India during the address, PM Modi said that India has exported Defence equipment worth Rs 15,000.

Detailing self-reliance, PM Modi said that the youth of India is engaging in new-age technologies. PM Modi added, “An approach was dominant in the country for a decade that the Defence equipment can only be imported. We did not believe in our own country’s manufacturers. Our government changed this approach. Our armed forces have prepared a list of 300 such equipment and weapons which will be made in India only, Today, India is exporting Defence equipment worth Rs 15,000 crore.”

“The Capital Expenditure in the country, in the last 9 years, has increased 4 times the value before. This has boosted both the employment opportunities as well as the income of the people,” he said.

Talking about the transformation in sports, PM Modi said, “Last 8-9 years have been the years of transformation. Today, new stadiums and new academies are being established. Moreover, doubling the Sports budget in the country is opening new doors of opportunities for the youth.”

He also lauded the health sector and said that it is becoming the best example of employment generation in the country. he further added, “New Indians are increasingly involved in drone manufacturing and becoming drone pilots. For decades our children used to play with toys imported from abroad. We started promoting the indigenous toy industry, and this created new employment opportunities for our Yuva Shakti. The capital investment in infrastructure projects propels employment generation and creates diverse opportunities for Yuva Skahti.” “Likewise, be it any other industry or agriculture, infrastructural survey or SVAMITVA Scheme, the usage of drones has started to be in demand. So, youth is very much into drone manufacturing and drone flying these days,” he added.

PM Modi also lauded Indian railways, “Prior to 2014, it took 7 decades to finish electrifying only about 20,000 Rkm of railway lines. And in the time after 2014, it only took 9 years to electrify about 40,000 Rkm of the nation’s railway lines.”

The Rozgar Mela, meantime, is a step in the direction of the Prime Minister’s promise to give employment creation a top priority. It is anticipated that it would serve as a catalyst for the creation of more jobs and give young people worthwhile possibilities for empowerment and involvement in the development of the country. The Union Ministers of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways and Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal will present the newly selected youths with their job letters as part of the function at the Railway Rang Bhawan Cultural Hall in Guwahati.
