Rapido driver flung into air after high-speed collision in Lucknow; CCTV footage captures crash

Lucknow: A horrifying accident in the Indira Nagar area of Lucknow was caught on CCTV, showing a Rapido driver being flung into the air after a brutal collision with a car. The incident, which took place on February 12, has since gone viral on social media, leaving viewers stunned by the sheer impact of the crash.

CCTV captures high-impact crash

The viral footage shows the exact moment when a high-speed motorcycle, driven by Abhijeet Srivastava, crashed into a Swift car at a turn in Sector 13. The violent impact hurled Srivastava several meters away, landing on the other side of the vehicle.

Eyewitnesses reported that the motorcyclist was riding at an excessive speed when he collided with the car, which was emerging from a neighborhood corner. “The car was not speeding, as seen in the CCTV footage,” stated Chowki In-charge Ashish Pandey, who arrived at the scene shortly after the crash.

Immediate medical attention & recovery

Following the accident, Srivastava’s family rushed him to a nearby hospital for emergency medical care. Fortunately, despite the severity of the crash, he has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

Authorities from the Indira Nagar police station confirmed that both vehicles sustained damage in the accident. However, no official complaint has been filed regarding the incident.

The footage has sparked debates on road safety and reckless driving, with social media users urging motorists to exercise caution. Many have pointed out the growing dangers of overspeeding and lack of traffic discipline, especially at blind turns and intersections.
