A 15-year-old boy was arrested for sexually assaulting and murdering a three-year-old female in the Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh. The uncle of the boy was taken into custody for hiding evidence. After promising to drive the injured girl to a government hospital, he first postponed approaching the girl during the incident and then left her and her mother behind.The incident occurred on Sunday night at a chawl in the Sirgitti region, which is outside of Bilaspur. A senior police officer stated that the boy brought the girl into the bathroom of his house and abused her sexually. She tried to speak up and ask for help, but he smothered her to death.Incident During this time, the girls mother was searching for her and had even gone to the 15-year-olds home, but she was turned away by his parents, who informed her that she wasnt there. Afterwards, a few neighbours informed her that they had witnessed the boy escorting the girl to his home. Once more, the girls mother called and insisted on seeing the boy. According to the police, his uncle informed her that he was in the bathroom.The uncle then resisted the mothers demands to open the door. The girl was discovered unconscious when the boy eventually opened the door after some time. They went to a private clinic and were turned away from treatment they then went to a public hospital. The private clinic which refused to attend to the girl, must be held accountable and charged for their negligence. The uncle urged the girls mother to exit the vehicle with her child while they were still on the way to the hospital, and they then drove off. After she proceeded to a government hospital herself, where the child was pronounced deceased.Action taken against criminals A case under the Indian Penal Code 1860 provisions for rape and murder as well as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was filed in response to the girls parents complaint. The boys uncle has also been taken into custody. Rape and murder are not being tolerated and the criminal is now facing strict actions against him.
