This information was given to a court by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), which is investigating this big case.

The DRI, which is investigating the gold smuggling case, is opposing the bail of 33-year-old actress Ranya Rao. The famous South actress was arrested on March 3 at Kempegowda Airport in Bengaluru with 14 kg of gold. During interrogation, Ranya told that on that day, it was the state protocol officer who took Ranya Rao out of the airport. She was caught just a step or two before exiting.

Smuggling with the help of State Protocol Officer

The DRI, which is investigating the gold smuggling case, is opposing the bail of 33-year-old actress Ranya Rao. The agency also claimed that huge amounts of money were arranged and transferred through hawala channels. They are investigating that channel. DRI said, "This shows that a syndicate was working." Claiming that the actress is not cooperating in the investigation, DRI said, "We oppose her bail as it is a matter of national security. We have to investigate the hawala channel." The agency also said that Ranya Rao, who has visited Dubai 27 times in the last 6 months, has a UAE resident identity card.

Ranya Rao, the stepdaughter of Indian Police Service officer Ramachandra Rao, is currently in judicial custody. It is expected that the court will decide on her bail plea very soon. Ranya Rao was under the DRI's radar due to her frequent foreign trips. In the last 6 months, she had made 27 trips to Dubai and the US.
