Rampur: Man allegedly assaults goat, leaves it bleeding

New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh, where a old man sexually assaulted a goat. The incident of this gruesome event quickly spread through the area, causing widespread outrage. The suspect initially fled the scene but was apprehended shortly after by local villagers and handed over to the police.

Details of the incident

The disturbing incident unfolded in a village within the Shahabad police station area of Rampur. According to reports, Vijay Singh's pet goat was brutally raped by accused Sher Singh, who committed this heinous act of animal cruelty while Vijay's wife was busy with household chores. The horrific incident was only discovered when the children's loud cries alerted her to the scene, where she found the goat severely injured and covered in blood, with the suspect having already fled the scene.

The villagers acted quickly, capturing Sher Singh and turning him over to the authorities. The police promptly registered an FIR under sections 352 and 351(2) of the BNS Act, as well as sections 3 and 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. The suspect has been taken into custody. The case has sparked significant discussion within the villagers.

Accused arrested

Vijay Singh reported that the disturbing incident took place within their residence, where Sher Singh surreptitiously entered and brutally attacked a goat that was tethered to a post. The family was alerted to the gruesome scene only when the children raised a distress call. Upon arriving at the scene, they found the goat suffering from severe injuries. The authorities promptly arrested the accused, Sher Singh, who has a history of committing similar offenses against goats, according to police officials.
