During the silver jubilee celebrations of Vistex, an Illinois-based firm, a tragic incident occurred at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, resulting in the death of Vistex CEO Sanjay Shah and serious injuries to another company official.

The incident took place on Thursday evening when Shah and his colleague entered an iron cage, which was intended to be lowered from a height as part of a planned event to kickstart the celebrations.

Unfortunately, a mishap occurred as one of the wires supporting the cage snapped, causing it to fall over 15 feet onto the concrete dais. Both Shah and his colleague sustained multiple injuries and were promptly rushed to the hospital. Despite undergoing treatment, Sanjay Shah tragically passed away, while his colleague remains in serious condition.

The local police have registered a case against the Film City event management authorities based on a complaint filed by another official of the company. The police stated that the investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Vistex had organized accommodations for its staff at Ramoji Film City, planning a two-day celebration for its silver jubilee. The company, specializing in revenue management solutions and services, has 20 global offices and employs over 2,000 people, serving leading brands such as GM, Barilla, and Bayer.
