The anti-terror agency had also stepped up its probe into the matter by calling and questioning colleagues and acquaintances of the accused who had absconded and those who had been apprehended. According to the NIA, the purpose of calling in people from the suspects' many spheres of life is to question them in order to obtain vital information and evidence that is relevant to the case.
