The upcoming Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya is not just a spiritual event; it's poised to have far-reaching economic implications. With the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) projecting a significant surge in trade related to products associated with Lord Ram's temple, the nation is gearing up for an economic boost.

Economic optimism surrounding Ram Mandir

CAIT Secretary-General Praveen Khandelwal expressed optimism about the enthusiasm for the Ram Mandir resonating across the nation, particularly in the business community. From January 1, under the leadership of CAIT, businesses across the country will be actively participating, symbolising a united effort to bring Ayodhya into every home and city.

Anticipated business boom

Khandelwal estimates that the sale of products related to the Ram Mandir could exceed ₹50,000 crores in January alone. This includes items such as flags with Lord Ram's image, paintings, locks, keys, and other merchandise associated with the grand temple. The surge in demand isn't limited to symbolic items; even clothing, such as Ram-themed kurta and t-shirts, is witnessing increased demand, providing a boost to the textile industry.

Valmiki Airport on the horizon

As part of the overall development, preparations are underway to name the new airport in Ayodhya after the sage Maharshi Valmiki, the author of the Ramayana. If all goes as planned, the Maharshi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya is set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. The first phase of this state-of-the-art airport, completed at a cost of ₹1,450 crores, signifies a significant leap in infrastructure development for the city.

Online booking for temple aarti

In anticipation of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, the Ram Janmabhoomi temple has initiated online booking for aarti ceremonies. Passes for aarti can be obtained both online through the temple's portal and in-person at Ayodhya's counters. To secure a pass, individuals need to provide a government-issued ID such as Aadhar card, voter ID, driving license, or passport.

Nonetheless, as the nation eagerly awaits the consecration of the Ram Mandir, the economic vibrancy accompanying this historic event is becoming increasingly evident. From increased trade in products related to the temple to the inauguration of a modern airport, Ayodhya is set to witness not just a spiritual renaissance but also an economic boom. The confluence of faith and commerce marks a unique chapter in India's journey, showcasing the seamless integration of tradition and progress.
