Jagdeep Dhankar, the chairman of Rajya Sabha on Monday has revoked the suspension of Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Raghav Chadha.

Raghav Chadha can now return to Parliament, as the Privilege Committee found his suspension period sufficient, even after he was level for two charges against him.

Soon after the revocation, Raghav Chadha tweeted, “Your son is at your service again in Parliament from today.”

Chadha got suspended from the House in the month of August for “gross violation of rule and misconduct” in the house. The BJD’s Sasmit Patra, BJP’s S Phangnon Konyak and Narhari Amin and the AIADMK’s M Thambidurai were among the four leaders who had complained about breach of their privileges, charging that their names had been included in an amendment moved by Chadha seeking referral of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023 to a Select Committee without their consent.
