Rajasthan roadways bus collides with trailer, claims three lives

In a tragic incident early this morning, a family from Delhi met with a fatal accident on the Delhi-Jaipur national highway near Jaipur. The mishap occurred around 4 am in the Shahpura police station jurisdiction when a Rajasthan Roadways bus collided with a trailer, resulting in the death of three family members and critical injuries to eleven others.

Collision on the Highway

The ill-fated bus, ferrying passengers from Delhi to Jaipur, crashed into a trailer carrying cement while attempting to overtake another vehicle. The impact of the collision left the bus entangled with the trailer, necessitating the intervention of local police, who promptly arrived at the scene. A crane was summoned to disentangle the bus from the wreckage of the trailer.

Grim Aftermath

Following the collision, all injured passengers were swiftly transported to Shahpura hospital for urgent medical attention. Subsequently, eleven of the most severely injured were referred to Sawai Man Singh hospital in Jaipur for specialised treatment. In total, around 20 passengers suffered injuries of varying degrees in the unfortunate incident.

Loss of Lives

The victims of this tragic accident were identified as Vijay Agrawal (40), his wife Teena Agrawal (35), and their 16-year-old son. The bereaved family members have been notified of the devastating loss.

Local authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision to ascertain responsibility and ensure necessary actions are taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
