The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy Rainfall expected across India in coming days, says IMDin Gujarat until September 20 (Wednesday), as downpours persisted in the state from early Sunday.On Tuesday, the IMD predicted heavy to very heavy rains in the districts of Patan, Morbi and Kutch. Moreover, isolated areas in all the districts of Saurashtra and Kutch are expected to experience, light thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind at 30-40 kmph, says IMD.The weather department has made the predictions of heavy rains in the districts of Porbandar, Dwarka and Kutch, on September 20. Areas in the north and central Gujarat regions were the most hit by the flooding.The Sardar Sarovar Dam was at full reservoir level (FRL) of 138.68 metres with an outflow of 5.9 lakh cusecs till morning on Monday. On top of that, the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited (SSNNL) is also releasing about 2 lakh cusecs into the Narmada Main Canal.Rainfall in RajasthanMeanwhile, in Rajasthan, ten people died due to rain-related incidents since Sunday. Heavy rains in the state have continued to affect the life of the normal life of people, as per media updates.
