Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal arrest: There were speculations that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is likely to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today after AAP leaders claimed carried raids at the AAP chief’s residence amid the alleged excise policy case. However, now the probe agency has dismissed all allegations of the leaders carrying out searches at Kejriwal’s residence calling it a ‘rumour,’ according to the media reports.

Reports of raids at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s resident rumours?

‘There was no such plan today to raid Delhi CM’s residence,’ citing a source, the reports said.

Meanwhile, the probe agency was examining Kejriwal's response to the federal agency over his reason for skipping ED’s summon in the Delhi excise policy case and reportedly a fourth summons will be issued to him, sources added.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday skipped a 3rd ED summons in the alleged Delhi excise policy case, citing upcoming Rajya Sabha polls, Republic Day prep and the agency's non-transparent approach.

AAP on Kejriwal’s arrest

The same night, AAP ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj claimed sources say Kejriwal faces imminent arrest on Thursday after ED raids his home.

"News of ED raid at Kejriwal's residence tomorrow morning. Arrest likely," Atishi tweeted Wednesday evening.

Similar warnings of imminent raids and arrests were posted by Bharadwaj and other AAP leaders.

Though Kejriwal expressed willingness to cooperate in the probe, he termed the summons politically motivated. This was his third skipped summons after earlier ones in November and December.

The dramatic warnings of arrest aim to project Arvind Kejriwal as a victim of political vendetta. However, the ED asserts its probe is impartial and solely evidence-based. The case pertains to alleged irregularities in Delhi's now-scrapped liquor policy.
