The police officials have cited that they are not in the position to allow Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to visit Imphal. Rahul Gandhi was on his way to Manipurs Churachandpur to meet the victims of violence and discuss about their relief, when he was stopped by the local police. According to the police, this has been done taking Gandhis safety into cognizance.According to the information, Rahul Gandhi landed in Manipur for a two-day visit to meet the people who were displaced by the recent clashes, at the relief camps. While speaking to ANI, Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal said that the police in the state is not allowing the leaders to head forward, citing that they are not in a position to allow it.“Rahul Gandhis convoy has been stopped by police near Bishnupur.
