Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is likely to for a Europe tour on Tuesday, September 5. In this week-long visit, Rahul will hold meetings with European Union (EU) Lawyers, students, and the Indian diaspora, as per media reports. The Congress party has, however, kept quiet about his departure.Rahul Gandhis trip to the EU ensures that he will not be present at the G20 Summit this weekend and will miss out on all 3 days of the Summit. He is also likely to return by September 11, a day after the G20 summit concludes.Rahul Gandhis EU schedule The former Congress Presidents trip includes EU nations, namely France, Belgium, Netherlands, and Norway. His schedule is filled with meetings and dinners with different people as well as lectures addressing university students and the Indian population there.On September 7, Rahul Gandhi is set to have a meeting with lawyers in Brussels, Belgium, and also hold a meeting in The Hague, according to media reports.Moreover, the Congress leader is also supposed to address students at a University in Paris on September 8.On September 9 he is also set to participate in a meeting of the Labour Union of France in Paris. Following this Rahul Gandhi will visit Norway where he is supposed to hold a conservation program at the University of Oslo on the theme of The Worlds largest country the worlds largest democracy.Meanwhile, the Wayanad MP will also be participating in a lecture program at Leiden University in the Netherlands on September 10 and give a lecture on the topic “India in the World: Interaction with Rahul Gandhi and Sam Pitroda.” The official University website has also shared the itinerary of his lecture scheduled on Sunday. Other international trips This is Rahul Gandhis first trip outside India after he was reinstated as a member of Lok Sabha following the day of conviction in a 2019 Modi surname remarks defamation case by the Supreme Court on August 4.Earlier this year Gandhi went on a trip to the US where he addressed the Indian diaspora and also attended a lecture at Stanford University. Meanwhile, he also went to the UK in March and attended several programs.
