On Tuesday, July 9, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, visited the Churuwa Hanuman Temple in Raebareli's Bachhrawan. This marked his first visit to his parliamentary constituency since assuming his new role in Parliament.

Engagements in Rae Bareli

Gandhi's day began with his arrival at Fursatganj Airport, from where he proceeded directly to Bhuemau Guest House. His agenda included meetings with various delegations representing different sections of society, along with interactions with local people and party leaders from Uttar Pradesh.

Honouring Brave Soldier

During his visit, Gandhi also scheduled a meeting with the family of the late Captain Anshuman Singh. Captain Singh, who tragically died in a Siachen fire in July 2023, was recently awarded the Kirti Chakra by President Droupadi Murmu for his exceptional bravery in saving three lives.

Gandhi's visit underscores his continued engagement with his constituency and his commitment to recognising and honouring acts of valour and service.
