During his visit, Gandhi also scheduled a meeting with the family of the late Captain Anshuman Singh. Captain Singh, who tragically died in a Siachen fire in July 2023, was recently awarded the Kirti Chakra by President Droupadi Murmu for his exceptional bravery in saving three lives.
Gandhi's visit underscores his continued engagement with his constituency and his commitment to recognising and honouring acts of valour and service.
