Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi has announced that the Congress party will construct over 100 houses for those affected by landslides in Wayanad, Kerala. The statement from Rahul Gandhi came while he was on a visit to landslide-hit Wayanad to meet the affected people.
While addressing the media on Friday, he said that he has been meeting affected people since yesterday and has assessed the situation and meeting the officials from administration and the panchayat, he was briefed on the amount of damage that has happened in the calamity. He further asserted for the all possible help and assured to build 100 plus houses in the affected areas.

Rahul Gandhi further assured the people of Wayanad that he would take the case to authorities in Delhi.
It is important to note that the initiative aims to provide relief and rehabilitation to the victims who have lost their homes due to the devastating landslides in the region. The death toll in the natural disaster has crossed 300 in Kerela.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) has pledged to volunteer to build houses for 150 families in Wayanad. According to Kerala Higher Education Department Minister R Bindu, the NSS will volunteer the construction of houses for 150 families who lost their houses in the landslide-hit area.
This initiative aims to provide much-needed support and shelter to those affected by recent tragedies in the area.
The NSS volunteers will work tirelessly to ensure these families have safe and secure homes, demonstrating their commitment to community service and rehabilitation efforts.
