Krishnam criticised the practice of advocating for individuals who seek to divide society for political gain, calling it deeply unfortunate.Addressing the nameplate controversy in Uttar Pradesh, Krishnam suggested that Indians should remain united despite such issues. He voiced his objections to the Supreme Courts decision to not mandate nameplates, asserting that, despite showing respect, he does not agree with the ruling.Call for unifying politicsKrishnam emphasised the need for politics that unites rather than divides. He condemned the division of communities—Hindus, Muslims, and others—based on geographical or religious lines, advocating for a unified voice for the nations welfare. He warned that politics of hatred is harming the country and called for an immediate halt to such practices.Krishnam also argued that saints and spiritual leaders should be given representation in Parliament. He questioned why professionals like doctors and engineers can serve in Parliament while representatives from the spiritual community are excluded. He emphasised that individuals who spread hatred should not be given any platform.Comments on Rahul GandhiKrishnam labelled Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as a national problem, stating that Gandhi, once a problem for Congress, has now become a problem for the nation. When asked about his own political future, Krishnam suggested in a somewhat cryptic manner that BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, present at the time, might provide insights into his future.
