The Congress party, often seen positioning Rahul Gandhi as a key political figure, continues to face scrutiny over its approach. Despite their ongoing efforts to bolster his image, recent incidents have sparked widespread debate over the effectiveness of this strategy.

During one of the critical sessions in the Parliament, where a significant bill was being presented, Rahul Gandhi was caught dozing off. This incident has not only raised concerns about his dedication but has also provided fodder for his critics. Many are questioning whether the Congress party’s emphasis on promoting him as a serious politician aligns with his actions on such crucial occasions.

Videos and photos also captured Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, along with BJP MP Giriraj Singh, allegedly mocking the Opposition MP for falling asleep during the discussion on The Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024. This bill seeks to amend the Waqf Act of 1995.

Unexpectedly, BJP MPs seated next to Kiren Rijiju, including Bhupendra Yadav and Jitendra Singh, burst into laughter and began pointing at the member. Kiren Rijiju humorously remarked, "This is why I advise against speaking out of turn or interrupting repeatedly; it might just make you fall asleep."

Meanwhile, it is important to note that the episode in Parliament has highlighted the challenges Congress faces in its attempt to position Rahul Gandhi as a serious and capable politician. As the party continues to rally behind him, the question remains whether such incidents will affect public perception and his credibility as a political leader.
